Akshara..oh sweetie pie. ..i am just growing in love with you. ..you are a very easy baby and just be like that...

I am loving  your lovely actions and mannerisms and then 'fighting and trying ' attitude to crawl...

You are in that cute stage of loving to go everywhere and admiring things; the best thing is your sisters love; you just pull yourself to wherever she is...and thanks to your akka you attend a lot of birthday parties and see a lot of kids

Right now you are an out and out pappa's baby...the smile you have when you see your papa is beautiful

Advitha and bday parties

Last three months or since the start of the year Advitha has been busy attending birthday parties , I should say on an average 2 to 3 parties every month. ..There are hardly any people who invite us for marriages and functions but then there are birthday party cards to make up for that and mind you its ONLY KIDS PARTY. While most of the parties are held at home or apartment club house, some gets held at places like McDonald's. ..but would be more happy if she eats something in the parties as well
the best bday party recently is our neighbour 's kid ishaan ' s 5 year bday party. .Advitha danced with her friends till 8.30 pm...!!!

All about Akshara

Where do i start!. ..Akshara my lovely Lil baby!..i thought my heart can never go for another baby than Advitha..but u are stealing and even breaking it by being awesome!!

You eat well, play well and sleep well;
Absolutely non-clingy;
Always happy with a ready made smile (more for your pappa, and other uncles);
You play very well and it's adorably cute seeing you smile and trying to hold things
You have got a good caretaker and of course my mother's delight in feeding...right now as I see except for looks you are straight opposite to your akka at least wrt food
You have completed my family..made us more balanced and more of all, made ur akka more independent. .love u my Lil baby..waiting to see more and more of ur antics:)

Advitha as planet uranus

Our first dear empt in making arts and crafts handouts for Advitha. ..she had to be dressed up as uranus for her planet day...first we thought of getting the costume..After we came to know from another dear parent that it was not available we went into making of it ...downloading from the net..getting thermocal; chart paper, Saturn ribbons..and wow it came out very well...

Adhu atttending farm bday party

Our neighbour satpreet organized her son's bday party in a farm which is some 45 minutes drive from home.  Parents were not allowed and advitha had to go with kids she plays every day so she was eagerly looking forward to the mini picnic
On the D day kids were given id cards, made to assemble and taken in a van to the farm. I got to know from satpreet (who was giving real time updates to us) that kids were taken around the farm,  made to feed the person animals, after which there was cake cutting and play sessions
I am in awe of these moms who sweat it out for their lil ones bdays. I am sure advitha had a great time with her friends. .
Any place is a better place with friends. .

grandpa (?))!! stories

The other day I was reading Adhu some interesting stories from the book 'Grandpa Stories'. The cover page of the book had a old man reading to small kids.Adhu was observing the cover page for a while and suddenly asked
'Mumma does grandpa's read stories?'
My heart sinked. My lil girl has two strong, hale and healthy grandpa's but both are busy pursuing their own interests and even when she sees them once in few months nothing worth mentioning about it...
In this context I should thank my mom, if not for her, my gals would not know the wonders of grandparents
I hope the folk of loving granddads increase and light the life of their own descendants...

good night sleep things

A Couple of days before Advitha started this habit of 'good night sleep things' where she packed lots of her goodies (her hair accessories, bangles, my lipstick, nail colurs, hair bands etc etc) and placed it next to her and slept..the reason she gave was to get good dreams and she herself named it as 'good night sleep things'
We found it really funny but its additional headache to me as it means she has to be late for sleep and her father who had to be pricked by these accessories while sleeping. we asked her to place the goodies in a bag so that we can remove it  when she goes into deep sleep only to put it back before she wakes up and not to mention It was extremely funny to watch her getting up with full makeup's somedays..
Anyway after a few days she forgot about this new found habit but we seriously miss the fun
