Busy busy Advitha!! and naughty happy Akshara

The onset of grade 1 has embellished a busy, hectic schedule for Advitha. Her schedule goes like this on a regular weekday:
6.15 am: wakes up
6.55 am: off to school in her school bus
3.30 pm: back from school
3.30 to 5 pm: have food, relax, play with sister, make phone calls to us (if her time permits some TV)
5 pm - 7 pm-play with her friends;  thursdays are kumon classes so no play on that day
7.15 pm-8 pm: back to home; completing homework, mindspark pages in the internet and kumon worksheets
8 pm- dinner
8.30 pm- crash to bed and she sleeps like a log!!!

the schedule has gone really hectic for her, but she seems to have no complaints and going with the pace!!!Love you baby...we are there always to give all sorts of support

Akshara is getting pampered at the best. The full-time maid and my mother leaves no stone unturned in feeding her. Brat, though is at her playful best, is the most happiest when she sees her sisi back from school!!

Vacation to pondicherry-Ocean spray resort

Advitha's busy full-day school schedule compelled us to give her a vacation. We went to a resort called Ocean spray in ECR pondicherry. Adhu was initially unhappy to take off from her school but somehow we convinced her for the holiday. The resort had a huge man made lake, big kid- friendly pool, private jacuzzi and kid friendly activities like mehendi, other games etc (the games came at a high cost though!!!). we also went around the town of pondicherry and devoured yummy italian cusines (for which the town is famous for)..Adhu and akshara enjoyed a ton at the pool and jacuzzi..A sweet and a short break for all of us!!

Akshara already on pen and paper

Who teaches these second ones??!!!we were stunned to see our lil one holding the pencil at ease and scribbling in her akka's notebook!!

Advitha first on-stage bharatnatyam dance

Adhu has been going for the bharathnatyam class for the last one year in our apartment. So she got eligible this year to perform on stage along with a group of 5-6 girls (at the max). The rehearsal for the dance went on for a month or so every Saturday and Sunday for 2.5 hours. Poor thing nicely cooperated for all the dance practice sessions along with her full day school schedule and not to mention the tons of homework. She got a new salangai, costumes and accessories and her interest in dance was so evident and vivid. On the D day, our neighbor Sudha aunty came and helped her with her hair do and her bama paati, balu thatha and us enjoyed seeing her on stage. She gave such a cute performance, thanks to her dance ma'am and the whole crew it was a delight to watch!!!The two songs were 'kanda naal mudhal' and 'aasai mugam'
