Reaching new heights

My MIL often says that a baby’s 1.5-3 years is a golden time for parents as the kid  speaks new words, learn new things and communicates loads.Yes thanks to the only end Adhu, we are enjoying this golden period

Striking incidents/developments of Adhu over the past two weeks

Adhu has a baby walkman which she can hold and take it along, it has three buttons and each one will play different rhymes. On Sunday evening, she tried pressing one of the buttons and it was not playing, after a few attempts she tried to open the walkman but in vain.
she took her dad straight to the kitchen and pointed towards a cupboard which has some home repairing equipments like screw drivers etc and some candies (for God’s neiveidhyam) in the adjoining rack. We thought she was asking for the candies and we even gave her one, but persistent Adhu asked her dad to lift her and pointed to the screwdriver urging us to take it, then we understood that she wants us to open the walkman with the screwdriver. We were simply dumbfound at her intelligence and grasping power, yes shez seen her dad sometime back dismantling a toy with the screwdriver. The terribly intelligent kutty!!!!!

Adhu dear has become a big vijay fan, she gets so excited that she runs to watch the ‘ karikalan kala pola karuthirukudhu kuzhalu’ with all smiles

Shez become a big papaya juice fan and urges us to make ‘papaaaa’ (as she calls it) juice everytime.shez also become a 'papa' gal, always asking for 'appa' all time.

New words

Lil Adhu is catching up new words. Started saying dress as ‘dhess’, kannum as ‘kannn’… with tilted hands; ‘cho cho’ for ‘susu’ and the best is ‘achachcho…’ in her own cute way. When I listen to her jewel words, I get reminded of the tamil saying
"குழல் இனிது யாழ் இனிது என்பர் தம் மக்கள் மழலை சொல் கேளாதார்'
How true...
Soon we are planning to get a tricycle for her. Her articulating skills are improving day by day; she clearly expresses what she wants. When we leave to office during weekdays she doesn’t cry or get cranky, she nicely says ‘tha…tha’ ,waves bye to us and cuddles with her paati ,but on the weekends she doesn’t allows us to go to anywhere even to the gym, just get amazed by the maturity of this 1.5 year old.

Adhu has also become fond of books , she got a picture book for her bday and often she brings it to us for pic names and actions, she is able to relate to the pics in the book such as the train, dog, tooth brush, anna, akka

Her new found love is ‘heidi’ in chutti TV, she correctly switches on the TV,gives us the remote and directs us by saying ‘anna’ or ‘hiii…’ to put Heidi. Shez also fond of ‘zoozoos’

At nite she wants me to sing ' sri chakra raja simhasaneshwari' for lullaby, shez very fond of the song, even if i change she would ask for that song by making sounds. i get instantly remainded of my late paati who'll ask me to sing that song often

Shez become crankier with her eating doesn’t want to eat at all, but then with my mom she is very good in having food, with me she shows lots of gimmicks.
Last two weeks has been hectic but pretty good with my promotion; good hikes ; we took amma to ‘South Indies’, popular south Indian restaurant serving our idli, dosa ,uthappam in their stylish way. Awaiting the long weekend to spend more time with my intelligent lil lady ….
